Support the Foundation

The Columbia Foundation grants help keep our programs affordable.

By designating a gift to directly support The Columbia Foundation, you are making a lasting impact on the areas of greatest need within our community. Our general endowment supports the Foundation's grantmaking efforts across the County. Every year, we receive hundreds of applications for support of many worthy causes. Unfortunately, the needs are often greater than our resources can support. You can help us increase our grantmaking capacity by making a contribution today.

To recognize donors who support the core work of the Foundation, we have established a new annual giving society, “Friends of The Columbia Foundation." Members will be listed on our website and in our annual publications. Those who contribute at The Chairman’s Circle level will be invited to a special annual appreciation reception at the home of our Board Chair, Earl Armiger, to hear more about our progress.

The Columbia Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, publicly supported organization serving Howard County, Maryland, and it has exclusive legal control over its contributed assets.  Contributions are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.  Documents and information submitted to the State of Maryland under the Maryland Charitable Solicitations Act are available from the Office of the Secretary of State for the cost of copying and postage. A copy of The Columbia Foundation's most recent audited financial statement and IRS Form 990 and 990-T, if applicable, are also available upon request by contacting The Columbia Foundation in writing at 10630 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 315, Columbia, MD  21044.
