The Columbia Foundation Announces New Officers and Board Members
Columbia, Maryland - July 5, 2007 - The Board of The Columbia Foundation, Howard County’s community foundation, has elected the following officers for a two-year term: Chair: Meg Moon, private attorney; Vice Chair: Mary Ann Scully, Howard Bank; Secretary: Dorothy Harris, Pal-Tech; and Treasurer: Brian Walter, M&T Bank.

Newly elected to the Board are: Andy Barth, freelance television reporter and former WMAR-TV broadcaster; Bernie Bradley, President of InSight Performance Group; Annie Geierman, Senior Vice President, Citizens National Bank; and Barb Van Winkle, President of Nancy Adams Personnel.

Founded in 1969, the Foundation has awarded over $9 million in grants to Howard County nonprofit organizations delivering human service, arts and cultural, educational and civic programs. Money for the grant programs comes primarily from income generated by the Foundation’s endowment supported by over 200 funds established by Howard County businesses, families and individuals.
