The Columbia Foundation's 28th Annual Spring Party
Columbia, MD - April 26, 2010 -
The Columbia Foundation, Howard County’s community foundation, will host its 28th Annual Spring Party at The Spear Center in the General Growth Properties Building in Columbia, Maryland on Thursday, May 6 from 5:45 to 8:30 p.m. The event features a full buffet, raw bar and beverages from Clyde’s. All proceeds benefit Howard County non-profit human service, cultural, civic and educational organizations. Admission is $80 and can be purchased at www.columbiafoundation.org and at the door. Guests have the option of adding $40 for a total of $120 to commemorate The Columbia Foundation’s 40th anniversary.
Also available is admission for the “twentyfivefortyfive” Spring Party After-Party at Union Jack’s British Pub in Columbia. This “Next Generation” initiative of The Columbia Foundation encourages community involvement among the 25-45 age group. Admission is $20 and the party is open to all ages. Founded in 1969, the Foundation has awarded over $10 million in grants to Howard County nonprofit organizations delivering human service, arts and cultural, educational and civic programs. Money for the grant programs comes primarily from income generated by the Foundation’s endowment supported by over 250 funds established by Howard County businesses, families and individuals.
