twenty.five.forty.five to host Spring Party After Party
Columbia, MD - April 29, 2009 -
twenty.five.forty.five, an initiative of the Columbia Foundation to promote philanthropy among those aged 25 to 45 in Howard County, is hosting its first annual Spring Party After Party on Thursday, May 7 at That’s Amore in Columbia.

Open to everyone of all ages, the After Party will immediately follow the Columbia Foundation’s Spring Party, the community foundation’s annual big event at the Spear Center. Members of the board of twenty.five.forty.five will be on-hand throughout the evening to discuss the new initiative and how individuals and families can become involved.

A donation of $15 is suggested and includes a drink ticket, coffee, and dessert.

Twenty.five.forty.five is currently laying the foundation for its future success. The initiative has started raising funds as part of its “Founding Members” drive, which calls on donors to pledge at least $500 over the next five years. The initiative’s near-term goals are to raise $10,000 in 2009 and to start grant making in 2010.

The objectives of twenty.five.forty.five are to:
• Provide members with opportunities for hands-on involvement in community and social investment
• Educate our members about the power of collective philanthropy
• Identify and fund nonprofit organizations in Howard County that address community needs
• Social networking and visibility
